Clinical Site Director (Full-time, 40 hours per week)

JOB SUMMARY:

Community HealthNet is seeking a dynamic Clinical Site Director to oversee 7 locations in Northwest Indiana, with the expansion to the 8th site coming soon. If you are energetic, enjoy working with teams, and are a proven leader, then CHN may be the perfect fit for you.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. In conjunction with the Human Resources Department, interviews, selects, trains, and evaluates performance as well as coaching, counseling, and or disciplining of all line staff, i.e. MA’s, CNA's, Lab Staff, etc.
  2. Schedules site staff (MA’s, CNA's, Lab Technicians, etc.) appropriately for the effective operation of the facility(s) in order to maintain quality, productivity and a smooth patient flow at their site.
  3. Makes time card edits for clinic site staff through the Paycor payroll system. Reviews and approves all timecards through Paycor, ensuring they are complete and accurate by the payroll deadline each pay period
  4. Ensures timely processing of all lab specimens, ensuring accurate and complete lab requisitions and specimen delivery to the lab, and ensures proper notification of lab test results to patients.
  5. Ensures tracking systems are being followed for patient test results and outside referrals in accordance with quality care standards of CHN patients as required under the Patient-Centered Medical Home model.
  6. Ensures tracking and monitoring of sample medications, medical supplies/equipment including disposal of outdated medications and supplies, and ensuring timely maintenance of all equipment.
  7. Develops knowledge of coding and billing; incorporates feedback from the billing department to ensure correction of errors with site staff.
  8. Ensures all patients at the site are registered as new and/or established patients, making sure all pertinent patient information is input accurately and ensures written consent is obtained from each patient for treatment and release of patient medical records.
  9. Ensures complete and accurate financial screenings for patients who are uninsured or underinsured is completed, ensuring all appropriate financial information is utilized, to ensure that patients receive healthcare services that are affordable.
  10. Ensures Registration staff verifies patient health benefits, i.e. Medicaid, Medicare, or commercial insurance at each patient visit to ensure the health services the patient is receiving during their visit is covered under the plan; for billing and collection accuracy.
  11. Serves on Risk Management committee which meets on a quarterly bases.
  12. Assesses each facility under his/her authority for potential risks involving patients and staff to prevent accidents and injuries.
  13. Observes operations and patient care to help prevent lapses in quality services and compliance with protocols.

 

  1. Assesses utilization of staff and supplies at their site to ensure best quality at lowest cost and greatest efficiency at all times. Any lapses in too many or too few staff assigned to that site will be reported to the Chief Operations Officer and the department managers.
  2. Deals directly with patient complaints or inappropriate behavior and reports such to the Chief Operations Officer.
  3. Provides leadership for staff members at the site.
  4. Ensures all supplies and equipment performance is monitored by appropriate staff.
  5. Ensures annual certification and re-certification of all equipment is completed in a timely manner.
  6. Serves on Quality Assurance committee which meets on a monthly basis.
  7. Works with Chief Operations Officer to develop policies and procedures as needed.
  8. Alerts Chief Operations Officer of existing or potential problems in a timely fashion.
  9. Ensures all work areas are safe and uncluttered.
  10. Monitors all staff’s appropriate and professional demeanor when dealing with patients and each other.
  11. Promotes teamwork and the CHN Core Values and Mission at all times.
  12. Enforces all CHN policies and procedures as written.
  13. Protects patient rights and privacy and ensures staff is always following HIPAA Guidelines.
  14. Collaborates with Facilities Manager to ensure clinic site is clean, neat and that repairs are made in a timely manner.
  15. Oversees and approves office supply inventory and purchasing.
  16. Conducts staff performance evaluations for the Medical Assisting, Nursing Staff, and Phlebotomists and maintains regular communication regarding individual goals, objectives, work plans, strengths and weaknesses.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Registered Nursing License is strongly preferred.
  • 8 - 10 years of clinical experience in an Ambulatory Care setting or Associate Degree in Healthcare Management preferred
  • Possesses advanced clinical knowledge and skills with Peds, FP, OB/Gyn, and BH
  • Possesses advanced knowledge of a wide variety of computer software including billing, practice management, Microsoft Office, and Electronic Health Records.
  • Able to work collaboratively and cooperatively with both clinical and administrative personnel to assure that clinical programmatic services can be properly delivered to meet the needs of the patients.
  • Excellent organizational, supervisory, and clinical management skills.
  • Ability to effectively motivate a diverse staff and volunteers.
  • Ability to lead and work as a team.
  • Willingness to participate in all levels of operations to assure maximal performance of the health centers.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Great customer service skills
  • Competence with computers and computer programs.
  • Knowledge and understanding of CLIA and non-CLIA guidelines, OSHA regulations and HRSA policies and regulations.
  • Must exercise discretion in management of information and use logical reasoning principles.
  • Must have valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance at all times
  • Ability to drive between CHN sites to perform the essential functions of this job
  • Ability to drive and/or travel off-site locations
